Resettlement and Community Sponsorship across Europe

Resettlement and complementary pathways including community sponsorships should be supported to grow and expand across Europe.

This booklet offers an overview of the current global and European situation regarding resettlement and complementary pathways.

It takes stock of the community sponsorship and humanitarian corridor programmes in Germany, Ireland, the UK, Belgium, Spain, France and Italy and gives a detailed glimpse into the work of the German Civil Society Contact Points (ZKS), the Irish Refugee Council (IRC), Citizens UK, the Belgian Caritas International, the Basque Government in Spain, the French Fédération de l’Entraide Protestante (FEP) and the Italian Consorzio Communitas.

Showcasing the Share QSN partnership and achievements, it provides an outlook on broadening sponsorship engagement through the mobilisation of cities and regions; the expansion of the involvement of higher education institutions; the recruitment and mobilisation of volunteers beyond faith-based actors; and the enhancement of the role of philanthropic actors and innovative financing.
