A City Says YES!

Reflections on the experiences of the save me campaign to promote refugee resettlement in Germany

The publication, launched on May 8th 2013 by the SHARE Network and PRO ASYL, captures the successful tools and approaches of the German 'Save Me' campaign for cities and refugee resettlement, a grassroots, city-based initiative begun in Munich in 2008 and now with branches in over 50 German cities and towns. 'A City Says Yes!' highlights the successes of Save Me - in contributing to the adoption of a resettlement programme in Germany in partnership with UNHCR, in building alliances and partnerships in support of resettlement at the local level including political authorities, civil society organisations and local citizens, and in creating a new 'culture of welcome' within German society.
